William Romanowski has paid out big bucks to earn his title of Big-Time NFL jerk. In 1997 he owed 20 grand for breaking Kerry Collins’ jaw in two places, then later in the same year he ponied up another $7500 for spitting in J. J. Stokes’ face. In 2003, Romanowski outdid himself by punching his teammate (no one is safe from this guy!) Marcus Williams in the face during a practice. He was  court ordered to pay Williams $300,000 in lost earnings, and an additional $40,000 in medical bills. After this incident, Romanowski was forced to retire. Given that these examples are just the tip of the iceburg, I’m surprised he wasn’t retired long before.
