Most notably he bit the finger of Calgary Flames’ Jim Peplinski during a fight. In 1996 while playing against the Detroit Red Wings, Lemieux landed a hard one on Kris Draper and essentially crushing his face while giving him a concussion.

It certainly says something about your playing style when ESPN conducts a poll and you’re number one on the list “The Top 10 Most Hated NHL Players of All Time”. Yeah, that says it all.
