Elin Calls Off Divorce To Tiger

When news of Tiger Woods’ infidelity first hit the airwaves, Elin didn’t make any comments about divorcing her straying hubby. Actually she stayed pretty silent about the whole thing. But, unsurprisingly, rumor hit that she was in fact divorcing the golf superstar. Elin had even gone ahead and removed her wedding ring from her finger.

However, it looks like perhaps she has changed her mind. RadarOnline has this story:

Elin spent last week visiting Tiger, and participating in his sex addiction rehab treatment, RadarOnline.com reported exclusively.

And while Elin had made up her mind to dump her husband after he was linked to more than 14 women and his secret life of cheating revealed, time – and Tiger’s actions – have caused her to call off the divorce for now.

She returned to Orlando Sunday night by private jet after spending last week with Tiger. “She was happy when she came home,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Things went well.”

Elin has not filed divorce papers but has explored her options. Tiger sought treatment to save his marriage and so far it’s working

Tiger Checks Into Rehab

While it is not confirmed, rumor has it that that Tiger Woods has been checked into a sex-addiction clinic in South Africa. He is said to be on a six week program that costs £5,000 – a week. That’s some high-dollar help he’s got there.

However, this news still remains a rumor. The head of the facility, Johnny Graaff, neither confirms or denies Tiger’s presence at the clinic. Naturally when someone won’t tell the press one way or the other, it means the guy’s there. And the evidence points in that direction.

Over the holiday season, celebrity spotters reportedly saw Tiger land in Cape Town in a private jet. They believe they saw him go straight to the addiction facility. Then yesterday personnel from, not one, but two security firms were seen patrolling the property.

If that doesn’t say “celebrity client here!” in big billboard letters, then I don’t know what does.

So do you think that Tiger really has a sex addiction? It sure does sound like a convenient excuse to explain away his behaviour to me.

The Bloodgate Scandal

Who knew that rugby would produce something like this? Honestly, I didn’t see it coming.

London – Francis Baron, the chief executive of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), has vowed to leave no stone unturned in a bid to reestablish the integrity of the game in England in the aftermath of the ‘bloodgate’ affair.

The RFU’s hopes that the furore over Harlequins’ use of fake blood to facilitate advantageous substitutions would die down have been crushed by the publication of winger Tom Williams’ testimony in his appeal against the one-year ban (reduced to four months on appeal) he received for his role in the scandal.

In it, Williams claimed to have been offered financial inducements by the club to help them cover up the full extent of their cheating, effectively dragging Quins chief executive, Mark Evans, and the chairman, Charles Jillings, into the scandal.

Williams ultimately opted to come clean about events surrounding his faked blood substitution during a European Cup match against Leinster in April, and his testimony was instrumental in ensuring Quins director of rugby Dean Richards was banned for three years while former club physio Steph Brennan received a two-year ban.

The publication of Williams’ evidence put the RFU in an embarrassing position as it came out only a day after they had announced that they would not be taking any further action against Harlequins, despite evidence that there had been other instances of the club using fake blood in matches.

The RFU is now braced for further damaging revelations when other evidence from the appeals process is published next week and the governing body has admitted it could be forced to re-open its investigation. Read on…

Tonya Harding sure managed to make a splash in 1994 during the Harding-Kerrigan scandal. In what was known as the “The Whack Heard ‘Round the World”, Kerrigan was attacked shortly before a competition. She was struck on the knee with a metal baton, effectively injuring her and allowing Harding to take first in the event. Harding was wishy-washy on her involvement, first she denies all allegations of her prior knowledge – admitting only to helping cover up the incident. Later she confesses to knowing prior to the attack and doing nothing.The kicker? Nancy Kerrigan recovered from her injury and went on to take the silver in the Olympics, while Tonya Harding came in a shameful eighth place.

On February 1, 1994, Harding’s ex-husband accepted a plea bargain in exchange for his testimony against Harding. Harding avoided further prosecution and a possible jail sentence by pleading guilty on March 16 to hindering the investigation of the attack. She received three years probation, 500 hours of community service and a $160,000 fine. She maintained her innocence of and disgust at the attack, and got a tattoo of an angel on her back, allegedly as a symbol of her innocence. In her 2008 autobiography, The Tonya Tapes, Harding said that she wanted to call the FBI to reveal what she knew, but refused when Gillooly allegedly threatened her with death following a gunpoint gang rape by Gillooly and two other men she did not know. Gillooly, who subsequently changed his name to Jeff Stone, called the allegations “utterly ridiculous.”^[3]

On June 30, 1994, after conducting its own investigation of the attack, the USFSA stripped Harding of her 1994 title and banned her for life from participating in USFSA-run events as either a skater or a coach. The USFSA concluded that Harding knew about the attack before it happened and displayed “a clear disregard for fairness, good sportsmanship and ethical behavior.”

Regardless of her involvement, this incident completely shattered her career. And Tonya went on to continue her bad girl status. First a scandalous sex tape, then later she chucked a hubcap at former boyfriend Darren Silver. Nice.
