With the rise of social networking website popularity, unforeseen complications have also taken a jump up. The way we interact with each other is undergoing a huge overhaul. More and more we are hearing about people losing their jobs over some stupid complaint they posted on Facebook or Twitter. For one, it doesn’t seem like the most intelligent thing to do. It’s the internet. Anything you put on it can and most definitely will be used against you. So a complaint about your job in general or your boss specifically has a 99.9% chance of getting around to the person who you least wanted to see it.

On the flip side, businesses have been taking these inane complaints way too seriously. Don’t they ever have to blow off some steam after a particular trying day down at the office? Or how about the woman who complained about her apartment and ended up with a pricey lawsuit?

Now the NFL is getting on board the Twitter control train. First they started fining players for complaining about training camp. Big deal. The NFL also didn’t like it when players tweeted from the bench during games. And now they want to control the fans’ Twitter accounts.

Who do they think they are?

But the NFL doesn’t want to stop at tweets, oh no. Facebook status, MySpace updates, and even uploaded YouTube videos are being targeted. They want to tell a stadium full of paying ticket holders what they can and cannot do with their personal online media pages. This blog had a good point. Since this restriction is mainly pointed at fans in the bleachers, she asks how will they even know that people are tweeting from the stadium? Couldn’t they just as easily be tweeting from the comfort of their own couches?

This is beyond ridiculous.
